Friday the 13th Malware
Tomorrow is Friday the 13th, traditionally a day when malware infection rates spike. We recommend that you share this post with your employees, friends, and family, as a reminder of some best practices to minimize the chances for infection.
1. Do not open any email attachments, or click on any email links that you have not explicitly requested or know you are going to receive. When in doubt, forward questionable material to your internal support or to us at service@ashtonsolutions.com;
2. Do not click on any banner advertisements;
3. Avoid visiting any non-business related websites;
4. Never send personal information (bank account information, date of birth, address, social security number, etc.) via unencrypted email.
